After suffering under the boot of the NCAA since 2008, A&T announced on June 11 that its football program will not face any APR penalties this season. Plenty of eyebrows were raised this spring when A&T announced that veteran coach Ricky Bustle was joining its staff as the new offensive coordinator. For the first time since 2002, A&T will return to the Georgia Dome to face South Carolina State in a recently announced conference match-up. The contest, which will be considered SCSU's home game, will take place on October 5 and is expected to attract a large turnout. On the most eventful National Signing Day he's enjoyed since arriving at A&T, Rod Broadway announced the signing of 22 new players on February 6 to a room full of top athletic boosters. Although Broadway said he was still hoping to sign a few more players in the weeks ahead, it was hard to mask his excitement over the kind of talent he's already assembled. Speed and size were on display throughout the highlight film session, and names like Tarik Cohen, Brandon Parker and Xavier Griffin are sure to have A&T fans yearning for fall camp’s arrival.
